Duncairn Downs park in Mississauga Ontario chose Illumient Smart Off-Grid lighting to light the way with environmentally sustainable infrastructure. 

Why Smart Off-Grid? 

Smart Off-Grid fit this project because it fulfilled many of the city’s goals. The city wanted to provide lighting for the park so patrons could enjoy it in the evenings as well. At the same time, the city wanted a low-cost, sustainable solution. The Green Pillar of the city’s Strategic Plan aims to encourage environmentally responsible approaches by using technologies which reduce emissions, conserve energy, and protect the natural environment while lowering costs.  

Results 

Smart Off-Grid was critical in meeting the city’s lighting needs. Smart Off-Grid remote monitoring and management has ensured the lighting systems illuminate the area year-round, regardless of climate. Smart Off-Grid has provided affordable, reliable lighting for the area so that people can enjoy Duncairn Downs park in the evening and year-round. On top of that, Smart Off-Grid fulfilled the lighting needs in an environmentally sustainable way.
